Experts aim to increase awareness of prostate issues
September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in the US and although it is an ocean away, there is no reason we can't take this time in Australia to also embrace the key messages promoted by such an initiative.
There will be free screenings, events and presentations held right across America designed to raise awareness of prostate health issues as well as provide information to men who may feel uncertain about specific aspects of the disease and other related conditions.
For example, Chilton Hospital in New Jersey is offering a free presentation – titled For Men Only: Common Prostate Problems – by a resident urologist, who will explain the types of prostate changes and symptoms men should take note of.
Events such as this can have a positive impact on the education of hundreds of men. Failure to make early detections of issues is one of the biggest challenges facing medical professionals and men of all ages – particularly those over 50.
Men who are suffering from any of a variety of issues might wish to consider the potential alleviating effects of natural prostate treatment. It also essential to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly in order to help prevent problems developing in the first place.
