Expert offers 5 tips for boosting prostate health
Prostate health is important to men of all ages, but as people age the risks of developing certain diseases increase.
With this in mind, it is not surprising that many health conscious individuals are constantly looking for ways to improve their chances of living a long and illness free life.
Jacob Franek, a health writer and epidemiologist in Toronto, has come up with five different ways men can take care of their prostate and change the way they think about their bodies.
Number one on his list is eating more tomatoes due primarily to their high levels of lycopene – an antioxidant shown to reduce the risk of cancer – as well as other foods that also use this key ingredient.
Mr Franek also suggests that men start to masturbate and have sex more often, as regular ejaculations have been proven to reduce health risks in this area.
Also, making his list is dragon boat racing, which is really just an example of the various aerobic workouts men can do to better their overall health and assist cancer prevention.
Replacing unhealthy meals with more nutritious options is also important, as is his final tip – making sure to keep life fun.
